Gift voucher terms and conditions

In addition to our General Terms and Conditions of Sale, these gift voucher conditions apply to the gift vouchers issued by CG Proefjes. By using a CG Proefjes gift voucher, you accept these gift voucher conditions and commit yourself to comply with them.

1. These terms and conditions apply to all gift vouchers issued by CG Proefjes (both electronic and printed gift vouchers, paper gift vouchers and as gift cards) (hereinafter collectively: “gift vouchers”) that are sold by CG Proefjes.
   
   
2. Each Gift Voucher has a unique code. This can be a number code and/or PIN code and/or text code. Each Gift Voucher is only issued once. You must store the Gift Voucher (including the code) carefully. In the event of theft (including the use of the code by unauthorized third parties) or loss (including the (accidental) deletion of e-mails) no compensation will be paid. Only original Gift Vouchers and codes can be used and must be provided to CG Proefjes upon request. CG Proefjes reserves the right to accept a Gift Voucher only after receipt of the original Gift Voucher (in the case of an electronic Gift Voucher the e-mail sent to you by CG Proefjes and in which the code is included) and to demand payment in cash in the event of improper use.
   
   
3. To use a gift card, you need to place the products you selected in the "shopping cart". During the payment process, you then select "gift card" as the payment method and fill in the exact code.
   
   
4. The value can be found on the Gift Cards/or in the email containing the code. Each Gift Card is valid for 24 months after issue. After the expiration date, the Gift Card can no longer be used.
   
   
5. Gift vouchers issued by CG Proefjes can only be exchanged for purchases made through CG Proefjes.
   
   
6. Gift cards cannot be used for outstanding orders.
   
   
7. Gift cards or their residual value cannot be exchanged for cash.
   
   
8. The right of withdrawal does not apply to gift cards. Gift cards cannot be returned.
   
   
9. The remaining value of the gift card can be used for subsequent orders. This value is visible in the user's account. The remaining value is not transferable and can only be used from the same account where the gift card was first used and during the validity period of the gift card.
   
   
10. All information regarding the code, remaining value and expiry date of already used gift vouchers is also available via the account overview on the CG Proefjes website.
    
    
11. If the total amount of the order is higher than the value of the gift card(s) used, the difference must be paid using one of the other payment methods: credit card, discount code, iDEAL, Bancontact, GiroPay or Klarna Pay Later.
    
    
12. In the event that CG Proefjes, on the basis of article 9.2 of the General Terms and Conditions of Sale, proceeds to refund (part of) the invoice value, and if payment has been made by means of a payment slip or credit card in addition to one or more gift voucher(s), refund will be made as much as possible by increasing the gift voucher balance in your account. If this is not sufficient, refund will be made in respect of the remainder by means of a cash refund of the (remaining) amount that was paid by means of a payment slip or credit card. In the event that only one or more gift vouchers have been used for payment, refund will be made in these cases by increasing the gift voucher balance.
    
    
13. You may not modify, falsify, undermine or otherwise tamper with (including hacking) gift cards or their operation.
    
    
14. Any (attempted) fraud or other unauthorized action will be recorded and will result in the use of gift vouchers being denied.
    
    
15. It is not permitted to use gift vouchers in any way for commercial purposes and/or purposes other than those for which they were issued.
    
    
16. These gift card terms and conditions may be changed from time to time. We recommend that you consult the gift card terms and conditions each time before using a gift card. If you continue to use gift cards after the changes have taken effect, you accept the changed gift card terms and conditions.
    
    
17. You can redeem an unlimited amount of gift vouchers or a combination of a maximum of 1 discount code and an unlimited amount of gift vouchers per order.
