Gray hair
Many curly girls frequently apply silver shampoos to their hair to give their curls a gray tint.
But eventually, we (almost) all turn gray naturally.
Is it wise to use other products for naturally gray hair? How do you care for it?
These are all questions we regularly receive and we have collected the answers in this blog!
When you let your hair turn gray naturally, your hair is in constant transition.
Hair structure can change, as can your hair properties. So if you are in the middle of going naturally gray, re-test your hair properties regularly.
Gray hair can become somewhat coarser in texture, but also more brittle and dry.
Of course this can differ per curly girl.
What you can do to give your gray hair some more love is to use a good nourishing mask once a week.
A good nourishing mask will give your hair that extra boost it may need right now!

- Boucleme Intensive moisture treat Deepco
Another factor of gray (becoming) hair that we often encounter is the fact that gray hair can have a yellow cast.
This can be caused by, for example, water, chlorine and/or sunlight.
This is where silver products come in. A silver shampoo, conditioner or mask can be a nice addition to your routine.
Although such a product does not necessarily lighten your hair, it does remove the yellow glow from your hair.
Silver products:
– Fanola Hair Mask
– Jean Paul Myne Gray Pepper Shampoo
– Jean Paul Myne Blueberry Shampoo
– Boucleme Color Toning Drops
- Olaplex 4P Shampoo
The Boucleme toning drops are great because you can use them with/in your favorite products!
Do you have the feeling that your hair has less shine and looks a bit dull because it is gray?
You could then look into adding an oil to your routine.
