Sagging curls
Curls that fall out, who hasn't had to deal with it?
Have you spent a long time trying to get your hair nicely curled, only to have it fall out again after a while? How annoying is that!
That's why we've put together some tips for you!
TIP 1: Layers in your hair
Is your hair long and/or thick? Then it could be that your hair is heavy. It just pulls your curl out, so to speak. If you were to have layers cut by a curly hairdresser, your hair would be less heavy and the curl would stay in better!
TIP 2: Product
Are you using too much product in your hair? Too much product can make your hair heavy again, which your curls won't like. However, you shouldn't use too little either. Are your products too heavy? This also results in sagging curls! It's a bit of a search for the right amount of leave-in/cream/gel, but it's worth a try!
TIP 3: Gel
Use a gel with a good hold! You can also try 2 or even 3 layers with different gels for a strong hold. Then we also have mousse/foam. You can also combine this very nicely with a gel during your routine for extra hold and often a bit more volume!
TIP 4: Protein
Protein provides strength to the hair. When your hair lacks a protein it can start to sag, it loses its strength. It is often thought that only damaged hair needs protein but that is not true! Every hair needs protein! It depends on the porosity of your hair which protein you need. For example, low porosity hair needs small protein and high porosity hair needs large protein. You can best use this in your mask and/or leave-in. You will see that your hair will curl better!
