Refresh
Refresh
“Refreshing” means that you style your hair again in the morning without washing it again.
Of course, if your hair still looks good after sleeping, you don't need to do this.
But when your hair is no longer in style in the morning or is very frizzy, you can refresh your hair. There are different types of refresh methods.
It's a matter of trial and error to see which method of refreshing works best for your hair.
Dry Refresh
For a dry refresh, you can apply some oil, leave-in conditioner and/or your favorite styling product to dry hair.
You can apply the products with praying hands or by kneading/scrunching the products into your hair.
Try not to run your fingers through your dry hair, this will create extra frizz.
You don't need to use too much product because there is already product in your hair from the previous day(s).
The advantage of the dry refresh is that it takes less time.
This is because you don't have to get your hair completely wet and you don't have to blow-dry it.
Sometimes it's just shake and go!
Half Wet Refresh
For a semi-wet refresh, you can add water with some leave-in conditioner to a plant sprayer or mist spray and dampen your hair with it.
Some people find this sufficient and do not need any additional styling product, while others still need a little styling product.
This is something you can try out for yourself to see what works best for you.
Do not use too much product as there may still be product in your hair from the previous day(s).
You can then blow-dry your hair again or let it air dry as you normally would.
Wet Refresh
For a wet refresh, you re-wet your hair completely and reuse the products from your wash day.
After this, style your hair as you normally would.
With a wet refresh, you do not wash your hair with shampoo or a co-wash, but only rinse out the product from the previous day(s).
You can dry your hair with a hair dryer or let it air dry, whichever you prefer.
Practice makes perfect!
Refreshing your hair takes some practice, especially since you have to try different methods to see what works best for your hair.
For some, a dry or semi-wet refresh does not work and it is necessary to re-wet the hair completely.
